When establishing a final finish, it is important to apply compound to the surface of the pad and then blot additional compound on the area to be polished. Because of the self-diminishing abrasive technology in Dynabrade compounds it is critical to have fresh compound throughout the area to be polished, adhering to this step will ensure even and consistent results.

The Dynabrade finishing system consisting of buffers, pads and compounds can be seen here achieving a high-gloss, showroom finish on a dark painted front quarter panel. The buffer is easily controlled having two grip points, while the buffing pad conforms to the contours of the vehicle creating a consistent finish.
