Without a level surface prior to buffing or polishing the final finish can appear dull or faded rather than a high gloss polish.

In addition to paint prep and clear coat repair Dynabrade random orbital sanders are often used to restore the clarity of headlight covers. After leveling the scratches and dings created by gravel and other debris impacting headlight covers, a palm-style buffer is used to apply the final finish.
