The appropriate belt size for specific machines does however depend on the contact arm used, and so in this guide there is a breakdown of the suitable size for each arm to suit the tools listed above.

Dynabrade Dynafile I

There is only one model of the Dynabrade Dynafile I available, this being the 14000 which can also be purchased as a versatility kit with model number 14010.

The model 14000 can use the entire range of Dynafile I contact arms, with the range of Dynafile I belt sizes being 3-19mm x 610-1120mm (1/8″-3/4″ x 24″-44″). To find the appropriate size for your contact arm please refer to the table below.

Dynabrade Dynafile II

There are seven models of the Dynabrade Dynafile II available, the most popular being the 40320 which is also available in both the 40324 metric and 40321 imperial versatility kits. Other models include: the 40326 and 40335 (which are the 40320 base model with different contact arms); the lightweight and low-profile 40352 and 40353 for improved ergonomics working in tight areas; the slow-speed 40381 for longer belt life and reduced heat generation with scotch-brite belts, and the 40610 electric version (with its own 40611 versatility kit.)

Dynabrade Mini-Dynafile II

There are three models of the Dynabrade Mini-Dynafile II available, the most popular being the 15003 which is also available in the 15006 versatility kit. Other models include the 15002 vacuum-capable version and 15013 which is the same base model as the 15003 with a different arm.

All of the models above can use the entire range of Mini-Dynafile II contact arms, with the range of Mini-Dynafile II belt sizes being 3-13mm x 305-330mm (1/8″-1/2″ x 12″-13″). To find the appropriate size for your contact arm please refer to the table below.

Dynabrade Dynafile III

There are five models of the Dynabrade Dynafile III available, the most popular being the 15300 which is also available in the 15302 versatility kit, and comes with a soft-grip handle assembly for applying additional force and achieving more aggressive stock removal. There are also four lightweight versions, three of these being supplied without a side handle which reduces the tool weight and allows greater maneuverability (models 15400, 15401 and 15420 – each with different contact arms), and the fourth is the 15360 which includes a side handle to assist the operator in achieving the extended reach offered by the arm it is supplied with.

Dynabrade Dynabelter

There are five models of the Dynabrade Dynabelter available, with these being: the standard duty 11462 and 11475, which are both the same base model with a side handle but different contact arms; the higher power, lower RPM heavy-duty model 11476 with a top control handle; the most powerful extra-heavy duty model 11477 which includes a pressure bar with top control handle, and the Dynabrade 11486 Dynabelter Accu-Grinder for grinding welds flat but without undercutting due to the adjustable guide tires either side of the contact wheel which control the depth of cut.

All of the models above can use the entire range of Dynabelter contact arms except for the 11870 which is only suitable for use on model 11477, with the range of Dynabelter belt sizes being 13-51mm x 762mm (1/2″-2″ x 30″). Dynabrade Dynangle

There are four models of the Dynabrade Dynangle available, these include: the compact model 14200 with a multi-positional side handle for working in tight areas, as well as the the single-motor 14300, the heavy-duty dual motor 14303 and the heavy-dual motor 14306 with removable platen (for sanding of flat workpieces), all three of which are designed for strap polishing of curved surfaces such as tubes.

Only the model 14200 Dynangle I can use the Dynangle contact arms, with the range of Dynangle belt sizes being 25-51mm x 457-1143mm (1″-2″ x 18″-45″). To find the appropriate size for your contact arm please refer to the table below.
